OWL BAT BAT OWL

“A beautiful and heart-warming wordless picture book that shouts loudly about the gift of family, friendship and not judging a book by it’s cover. While there is no text to ‘read’ the story is brilliant expressed through the pages with colour, positioning, facial features and body language. The illustrations sing with clarity, expressiveness and are uncluttered and simply lovely. One of the best wordless books I have seen in ages!”

Mary Esther Judy, Reviewer for FALLEN STAR STORIES

OWL BAT BAT OWL

“I’m a big fan of wordless picture books and this one is a cracker.”

Jill Bennett, Reviewer and consultant for Early Years Education.

OWL BAT BAT OWL

“Wordless books offer children – and adults – multiple opportunities to tell and retell a story, and here the eyes definitely have it as Fitzpatrick skilfully uses her characters’ expressions to show readers how Bats and Owls become friends.”

THE IRISH TIMES

THERE

“Bucking the trend of recent years ‘THERE’ is largely picture driven and aimed at the under nines. As both author and illustrator Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick scooped the 20th Bisto Book of the Year Award, plus the Honour Award for Illustration. This is the third time that Fitzpatrick has picked up the prestigious award winning in 2001 and 2003 for her picture books ‘You Me, and the Big Blue Sea’ and, ‘Izzy and the Skunk’.”
